After ranting there must be something wrong with Subsonic, they never reply when you ask about flashing roms or what they've done with the SD card. Much easier to just bash a perfectly good product, than to admit that they probably just screwed up the phone.

I have not experienced this with ANY other program on my phone - Pandora, Grooveshark, etc. As a matter of fact, when I first installed Subsonic and for about the first week, I had zero problems. I just updated the client today and the problem is worse. I have tried all the suggestions on this forum and nothing has worked.
I'm sorry but it's almost to the point that it's unusable. My network connection at home is a 40 megabit pipe from comcast and my computer has more then enough horsepower to handle a simple stream. Upload speeds are around 5 megabit.
I would be willing to give someone, who is not having issues, access to my server to see if it's on the server side.
Thanks.

One more thing: If you're having skipping problems with non-mp3 music, make sure to add the "--resample 44.1" option to the LAME transcoding step in Settings > Transcoding
lame -S -h --resample 44.1 -b %b %s -
