How to lengthen chat message queue?

Postby mozztoff » Thu Jul 14, 2011 12:14 am

I know the chat file is within C:\subsonic\jetty\xxxx\webapp\WEB-INF\jsp\right.jsp; but is there a simple code change I can perform on this to lengthen the amount of chat messages? I have a good amount of people accessing and chatting through subsonic throughout the day, however it only retains like 15 or so messages before it auto-deletes existing messages.

So is there a simple change I could perform to retain more messages then the 15 or so before it auto-deletes them? Any help is appreciated, running on Win 08 r2, rls 4.4.

I have never tried to do that myself, but others in the forum have taken a different approach by using an AJAX(external) free chat system and creating a link to it in their SS server. Have a look at this thread http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7049

Also, have a look at the tutorial & mods section of the forum, you may find other alternatives.
