Much appreciation for your dedication and hard work to allow us Synology users access to Subsonic.

During an installation of the NAS version of 4.7, I too have the same errors when attempting to upgrade or clean install on my 2411+ running DSM 4.1.2636

Thank you,

Craig

Oh sorry I have a ARM NAS and didn't know that Java 7 isn't out for the x86 NASes, yet. If you own a ARM NAS (what do I have?) you can uninstall Java 6 and install Java 7. If you have a x86 you have to stick to Java 6 and the normal 4.7 version.

Uploaded a new package for x86 Diskstations, the option to install MashupMod doesn't show up now, no other changes.

Great application!

A couple questions:
1) where are the files located on the synology box
2) the version I am using always forces me to port hhtps:my.domain.com:4041 Can I disable this?

thx again,

Craig

1. view my FAQs ;)
http://www.eg-blog.de/?page_id=83
it is all in /volumeX/@appstore/Subsonic. VolumeX is the volume you selected during install.
2. view my FAQs, edit the subsonic.sh file, change the https-port to 0

Thank you.

All is working fine....except...

Now the only issue on 4.7 is transcoding .wav files. It worked fine on 4.6. with LAME

Is anyone else having this issue. My entire CD collection is in .wav format, so this is a show stoppper.

Went back to version 4.6 until transcoding wav, wma files is possible. :(

thx-Craig

It was my fault.
I placed the ffmpeg binary in the wrong folder at the x86 package
There is a fast and easy fix for it (so you don't have to reinstall the package).
Just have a look at this comment on how to copy the right ffmpeg file to the right place.

Hello,

Just a little question about updating subsonic on my NAS ..
Presently, I use the latest release of the package : 4.7 (build 3125SE)

But the "Madsonic - Mashup Mod 4.7" is now to 3148 version !!
Can I easy update my system with the new WAR file or i have to wait a futur relase of the entire package ??

MERCI :)

you can copy the "subsonic.war" and "subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar" to /volume1/@appstore/Subsonic/Subsonic and see if it works (no guaranty)
note: do not copy the "subsonic.sh"! the one on your DS is custom designed for Synology DS.

I will not make a package for every MashupMod version because there are just too rapid...

I look forward to using Mashup. Any idea when Java 7 will be available for Atom D2700 x86 CPU's?

Thx to all

The latest Synology package online is working with java 6.
I don't know anything about the progress of java7 on Disk Stations, maybe you can ask patters (pcloadletter.co.uk) who creates the java packages.
