It works with DSub, however, the metadata is not showing up. The app developer says that he needs to add each player manually, and I have already emailed him asking for DSub implementation. He also includes says "A player can only be supported if its developer has decided to broadcast meta data within Android and I am able to contact them."
Is this something that can be doable in the future? Thanks.

It's a possibility depending on what needs to be broadcasted. I don't really want to add too many more things that are constantly being broadcasted, but if it uses one of the standard intents sure I'll look into it. Can you have him send me the what needs to be broadcasted?

I contacted the dev and he is already contacted Sindre to implement the official Subsonic support, so since this is a fork off that, I'm guessing it should work? I'll contact him anyway, just in case.
As a side note, is there a possibility of an option that downloads album art in the same folder as the album, as opposed to a different folder altogether? This is just in case I decide to use PowerAmp, for example, to listen to already downloaded/cached files and avoid having to redownload album art.
Thanks for the reply!

Hate to confess I have a niggle, but I do have just one little bugaroonie I'm noticing.
I tend to listen to albums, rather than playlists, and I've noticed of late (since the last two updates) that whenever I start downloading the first track, it'll play after about 600kB is downloaded, but then I get a lot of 'sticking' (like a broken CD skipping). This usually stops when the entire track downloads, but then the other bug kicks in - it gets to the end of track 1, but then goes to the start of track 1 again, rather than starting track 2 (even though this has downloaded in its entirety).
I run a modified version of ICS 4.03 on a Huawei G300 (stop sniggering at the back there - it's a great phone...)
Also, am eagerly anticipating gapless playback, although appreciate this may only be possible on Jellybean (luckily there is a good community of people developing ROMS for this phone)

I've used Subsonic on a variety of stock Android and Cyanogen ROMS from Froyo up to Jelly Bean, and I've always noticed skipping in the first track while it is still downloading. I installed DSub hoping that you had fixed it, but no luck. I'd love to help get this fixed if there's anything I can do. I have some Android development experience so I cloned your github and looked around, but I have no idea where to start. Any thoughts?

It should all be in the DownloadServiceImpl. I am starting to think it might be an issue of the transition between buffering and playing the actual file. I want to finish a few things up for this next release, then I am going to really see if I can open up the guts of the playback and work on these various stuttering issues people keep having.

The bad news is that DSub no longer sees my home computer's music folders. It only seems to be seeing songs stored locally on my phone! When I test my connection it says the connection is successful. But it also says my account is unregistered even though I have donated and registered the passcode several times. Any suggestions?
