Copying the .war over the original one doesnt work...

Is there any other download mirror? because uploaded.to doesnt allow to download more then one file. I've downloaded the .war version already without luck...

Nobody?

Is there a way to disable the showing of the empty artist picture?
I don't think that I ever have the time to save artist pictures and these dummy pictures only take space on the side and showing only dummies doesn't make much sense either.

This weekend I decided to switch my "productive" subsonic environment with all my users to Madsonic. Until now I only tested Madsonic for my personal use.
Doing this, I am a little confused about the lacking abilty of the admin to change user settings.

Because I want a unique appearance for all of my users, I need to restrict their rights in changing the appearance and forbid them to change settings.
But there is no way for the admin to configure the appearance of Madsonic for the users.
The admin first has to allow the users to change settings, then has to login as the individual user and change the appearance, then log out and restrict the right of that user to change settings.

I think this is too complicated and not very admin-friendly.
The admin should always have all views and rights and an administrative interface to change all general and user settings without the necessity to log in and out as the individual user for some of the settings.
This administrative interface should allow group settings, so that it is not necessary to change settings for every single user.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish after reading your post several times.

First, you can set the default theme to anything you want it to be which will then be the theme that each user will see when they first log on.

Second, if you uncheck " User is allowed to change settings and password" when you create the user, then they won't be able to change the appearence to anything but the default theme.

Finally, when you allow users to change settings and password, it only changes what they see and does not affect anyone else's settings, so why not allow them to do that?

From reading your post over a few times I am reading it as you want to control the appearence for each user and modify each user's appearence independently?

Seems a bit of an odd hobby. Am I reading something wrong here? Also, this is no different than what is available in the standard Subsonic setup, so why is this an issue for moving to Madsonic?

Additionally, I use generic users as "group logons" by having guest and visitor usernames that anyone can use to log on. You can create generic usernames with different definitions that can achieve varying levels of privileges for different groups without creating individual accounts.

Does anyone else's album/folder view have half of them missing when using this mod? With 4.7, everything works great, but with the 4.8 betas from Mashup, there are placeholders where the text from an album/folder should be, but there's nothing there for a lot of them. Strange.

The database needs to be cleaned up.

First go to the Media folders page and UNcheck ALL of the folders. SAVE

Recan with ALL folders UNchecked.

Click on Clean-up database. Let it run for a good bit until the mouse cursor stops showing any indication that the cleanup is still running.

When the clean-up is done re check the media folders to enabled and then rescan.

This procedure takes a while depending on your hardware and your library size, but once you get it done everything should work properly.

Where are these .view files located, and can they be edited in Notepad or Dreamweaver?

Does this mod offer the ability to sort by artist if I have a bunch of "singles" in a folder. I noticed the iSub app for IOS doesn't have the option to view by artist. There a reason why that's not available?
