Using Subsonic 5.0 on Windows 7. I have a pretty standard PCI sound card (M-Audio Audiophile 2496), directly connected to the amp by RCA.
I would love to move to Subsonic for all my local playing needs by using jukebox on my home system, controlled remotely.
I'm unable to make the change, though, because of a glitch / click sound every time I begin a new stream. This means any time I initiate playback, or change tracks, or when the player gets to the end of a track and begins the next. In the logs I see, for example:

every time a new file begins, which I assume is related. I've searched quite a bit on this topic and found some examples of people having the same problem, but no resolution. This has persisted through several versions, as I've actually been hoping to make this transition for a couple years. I get the same result using the web interface, Subsonic android app, or DSub. I'm sure this doesn't happen to everyone as it seems there are several people using jukebox happily. All other audio applications on my system work normally, I use it as an A/V HTPC and server.
If anyone has any tips I would be extremely grateful. I'd be happy to provide any further information. The Subsonic interface is just so much better than any other remote control I've tried that I am just dying to use it. It's almost come to the point that I miss being on the road when I have to come home and use my system locally
